Instructions: Cut pound cake lenghtwise into 3 equal pieces. Take one piece and spread raspberry preserves on one side. Place cake side down in a trifle bowl or other deep clear bowl, drizzle 1/3 of the sherry over cake ,spread 1/3 of the custard over the sherry. Repeat this step with the remaining two layers and then top with whipped cream and almonds.
