1 cup butter (2 sticks) plus extra for preparing pan
1 cup brown sugar packed
1 x egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 x milk chocolate bar (7-oz.) broken in pieces
Instructions:
Instructions: Beat butter and brown sugar until light and creamy. Add egg yolk, vanilla, flour and salt and mix. Spread in buttered 13x9-inch baking pan, and bake at 350 degrees utnil brown, about 20 minutes. Batter will rise and fall slightly. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate pieces, then spread chocolate evenly as it melts. Top immediately with almonds and let cool completely. Cut into squares, and store in airtight container.

Makes 24 bars.
