1/2 lb dried garbanzo beans or fava beans
water to cover
1 tbl chopped cilantro
1 tbl chopped parsley
4 x green onions chopped
20 x milliliters garlic minced
1 tsp cumin
1 pch baking soda
salt and pepper to taste
water, to moisten optional
Instructions:
Instructions: Rinse dried beans under running water; place in the slow cooker and cover with water (at least 2 inches over top of beans) Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Pour off water; rinse under cold water and allow to drain.

Place cooked beans in a food processor and add other ingredients. Blend until paste is formed.

Form the Falafel into small patties about 1 1/2" in diameter and 3/8" thick. Deep fry the patties until golden brown.
