Instructions: Saute apple in butter in a small non-stick skillet. While its cooking, beat eggs in a medium bowl. Add milk, vanilla, and sugar and beat until well blended. Cube bread. When apples are soft, add bread to skillet and toss until coated with butter. (You may need to add a little more butter.) Pour milk mixture over bread and gently press down bread until saturated. Sprinkle liberally with cinnamon.
Cook over medium heat until custard is set. Cut in half with spatula. Flip each half and cook until bottom is done and lightly golden. Email this Recipe:
