3 tbl Butter or margarine
3 tbl Flour
1/2 tsp Salt garlic
1/2 tsp Salt
1 dsh Pepper white
1 dsh Nutmeg
1/2 cup Milk, scalded if in a hurry
1 lb Cheese, process Swiss shredded
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 dsh Tabasco sauce
1/3 cup Wine, dry white (or milk if preferred)
2 tbl Kirsch (or milk if preferred)
Instructions:
Instructions: Melt butter or margarine in ceramic fondue pot over a moderate direct heat. Stir in next 5 ingredients.

Stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly until sauce is smooth and thickened slightly.

Lower heat. Add cheese, a small amount at a time and stir until cheese is melted after each addition.

Stir in remaining ingredients except bread.

To serve let each guest spear a crust-edged cube of bread with fondue fork and twirl bread in cheese mixture until coated. Drain, cool and eat.

Yield: About 3 3/4 cups fondue.
