Instructions: Here is the breaky I serve my hubby and I Christmas morning.
It requires some of the fruits you put up in the fall for just such an occasion :) Fresh squeezed orange/grapefruit juice I use seedless oranges and ruby red grapefruits, half of each squeezed into in a small juice glass. cook 2 or 3 maple breakfast saugsages until done. Wrap in paper towelling and a small piece of foil to keep warm. For the omolett: *a dab of butter and a Tblsp. of olive oil in the skillet. a very small slice of pre-cooked blackforest ham, chopped 1 Tblsp. onion, chopped fine a thin strip of each sweet green, red, yellow, orange bell peppers, (I cook with peppers all the time so I always have some sliced up into strips and I keep them in the freezer for convenience) a green onion finely chopped 3 eggs 1/4 c. HOT water Chop whatever needs chopping. Add to eggs and mix lightly with a fork. Add hot water Place *butter and oil in the skillet and turn pan on to med.heat. Add egg mixture and cook until omolette is set. Serve with sausages (or bacon or ham slice) toast/ raspberry preserves, juice and a slice of orange, kiwi, and a butter-flied strawberry for decoration. Sometimes I use peach slices instead of the strawberry. *olive oil added to butter in the skillet will keep the butter from going brown and burning. Email this Recipe:
