Instructions: Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. Cream shortening and sugars.
Add eggs. Melt chocolate in hot water and cool. Blend in chocolate. Add alternately sifted flour, salt, and baking soda with milk. Add vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees until cake is done, approximately 30 to 35 minutes. Test for doneness with a toothpick. Donna Clymer Email this Recipe:
