1/2 cup warm water
1 pkt active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
2 cup warm whole milk
1/2 cup butter, melted (1 stick)
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
2 cup all-purpose flour
2 x eggs
Instructions:
Instructions: Add the warm water to a very large mixing bowl and sprinkle in the yeast; let stand 5 minutes. Add the warm milk, butter, sugar, salt and flour; beat until smooth. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let stand overnight. Refrigerate in warmer climates (room temperature above 70 degrees). When ready to cook, beat in eggs and baking soda. Heat waffle iron. Pour 1/2 to 3/4 cup batter onto waffle iron and bake according to manufacturers directions. Serve immediately.
