Instructions: Preheat oven to 200 degrees C/400 degrees F/gas mark 6.
Cut the fennel bulbs in half. Drop them into boiling water and simmer for 56 minutes until slightly translucent. Drain and place in an ovenproof dish cut edges up. Dot with butter season and top with the grated cheese. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until golden basting once with the buttery juices. Serves 2 Email this Recipe:
