Instructions: Cut the ham into 1/4 inch-wide strips and set aside.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil; add the fettuccine and cook according to package directions. Drain well. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Add the ham and tomato. Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Simmer the mixture, uncovered, about 5 minutes. Stir in the peas and pesto and cook about 2 minutes.
