2 tbl vegetable oil
1 lrg onion chopped
3 x garlic cloves minced
2 lb ground beef
2 can red kidney beans - (16 oz ea) drained
1 can crushed tomatoes - (28 oz)
1/3 cup chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
Instructions:
Instructions: In a soup pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat and saute the onion and garlic for 5 minutes, or until the onion is tender.

Add the ground beef and brown for 8 to 10 minutes, or until no pink remains, drain off the excess liquid.

Add the remaining ingredients, mix well. Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

This recipe yields 8 servings.

Comments: If you want to give this a spicy kick, add 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce along with the tomatoes.
