Ingredients:

3 tbl warm milk
2 tsp wine vinegar
1 lrg onion chopped
1 clv garlic finely chopped
2 tbl mustard or sunflower oil
60 gm creamed coconut
675 gm white fish skinned and boned
2 x green chillies chopped
salt
lemon juice
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp asafoetida
2 x black peppercorns
Instructions:
Instructions: Soak the spices in the warm milk and the vinegar for 30 minutes or so.

Fry the onion and garlic in the oil until golden.

dd the presoaked spices and stirfry the creamed coconut with a little water.

When hot add the fish with the chillies and keep the sauce fairly fluid while cooking by adding water as required.

Cook until the fish is tender (10 to 15 minutes) and add salt to taste.

As soon as cooked sprinkle with lemonjuice and serve.
