1 kg asparagus
40 gm butter
1 x salt sugar
300 ml water
450 gm frozen chopped spinach
80 ml double cream
Instructions:
Instructions: Scrape the asparagus and trim off the woody ends.

Melt the butter in a pan add the asparagus and sprinkle with salt and sugar.

Add the water cover bring to the boil and let the asparagus stew gently for 25 minutes.

Drain the asparagus and keep warm.

Cook the spinach according to the packet instructions mix in the cream and season with salt and sugar.

Serve the asparagus with hot roast meat garnished with the spinach mixture and flaked almonds.
