1/4 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Shortening
2 x Eggs
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup Flour
1/2 cup Cornmeal
3 tsp Baking powder
Instructions:
Instructions: Cream together sugar, shortening, and eggs. Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Drop by spoonfuls into a muffin tin or spread into an 8 or 9 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown, approximately 35 minutes.

Makes 9 squares.
