1 lrg onion quartered, sliced
3 lb beef bottom round roast
1/2 cup dry white wine or water
1 pkt au jus gravy mix - (3/4 oz)
Instructions:
Instructions: Place onion in slow cooker. Trim excess fat from roast. Place in slow cooker. Stir together wine or water, au jus mix, and pepper. Pour over roast. Cover and cook on HIGH 5 to 6 hours or LOW 10 to 12 hours (until very tender).

Remove meat from liquid, let stand 5 minutes, slice thinly across grain. Make sandwiches on hard rolls or French bread, using meat and onions. Serve broth for dipping.
