2 lb fat-trimmed ground bottom round steak
2 tsp salt
1 dsh liquid smoke flavoring optional or smoke-flavored salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper optional
2 tsp dried sage
1 tsp dried savory
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions:
Instructions: Have the meat trimmed of fat and ground, or grind it yourself. Combine with remaining ingredients and mix lightly. Gently shape into 16 patties.

Wrap and freeze, if desire. Broil or barbeque for 2 minutes on each side

(3 minutes, if frozen). Each sausage, under 80 calories.
