Instructions: Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add almonds, and cook, stirring frequently, until golden brown and fragrant, 2 to 3 minutes.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Trim green beans, and using a bean slicer or paring knife, cut beans lengthwise into thin strips. Add beans to boiling water, and cook until tender, 3 to 4 minutes. Drain, and transfer to a large bowl. Add butter and almonds, and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a serving platter, and serve immediately. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
