Instructions: Preheat the oven to 400F. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and 2 tablespoons of the sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Add 2/3 cup of the buttermilk, stirring with a fork until the dough comes together. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Gently pat or roll o 1/2 " thickness. Using a 3"-round cutter or large glass, cut 8 biscuits. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Brush with the remaining 2 tablespoons buttermilk. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the remaining sugar. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden. Cool on a rack. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the berries, orange juice, and remaining 1/3 cup of sugar. Allow to sit for 10 minutes to draw out the berry juices. Split the biscuits crosswise in half. Place a biscuit bottom on each of 8 dessert plates. Top with the berry filling and a scoop of yogurt. Cover with the biscuit tops. Email this Recipe:
