Instructions: Steam the peas in a vegetable steamer over simmering water for about 6 to 8 minutes until they are tender (less if using frozen peas).
In a medium skillet, melt the butter. Add the onion and apples and saute over medium-high heat until very tender, about 8 minutes. Combine peas, onion, and apples in a food processor and puree until smooth. Return puree to saucepan and rewarm over very low heat. This recipe yields 10 servings. Email this Recipe:
