Instructions: * Note: Look for marinated anchovies in Italian or Latino markets, where they are called alici marinati or boquerones, respectively. Failing that, you can use canned sardines in oil.
Place bread slices on baking sheet and toast under broiler until light golden brown on both sides. While still hot, rub each slice with garlic clove to impart delicate flavor. Mix ricotta, pepper and oregano in a bowl and smear casually over each bread slice. Top each with anchovy filet and return to baking sheet. Broil until cheese just oozes, about 1 minute.
