Instructions: Heat shortening in deep fryer or deep saucepan. Combine cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, garlic salt and onion salt in paper or plastic bag. Put 3 or 4 pieces of fish in bag. Shake until well coated. Fry fish in hot shortening until brown and tender.
