Instructions: Combine the flour with the seasonings in a small bowl. Beat the milk and egg together in another bowl, and place the bread crumbs in a third bowl. Dredge the mirliton pieces in the flour mixture, then in the milk mixture, then in the bread crumbs. Heat about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of oil in a large skillet over high heat to a temperature of 350F
