Instructions: In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, warm the olive oil. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk to combine. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer sauce to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until ready to use. This recipe yields about 2 cups.
