Instructions: Cream butter and sugar. Add pumpkin, egg and vanilla. Beat thoroughly. Mix dry ingredients together. Stir in dates and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees. Cool on rack and spread with frosting.
