Instructions: Heat cooking oil in deep fryer to 350 degrees F. Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Make a well in the center and pour in milk and egg. Stir until smooth. Pour 1/2 cup batter into funnel with 5/8 inch opening, holding finger over hole. Hold over hot oil and let batter fall into oil using a swirling circular motion. Fry, turning once, until golden brown (about 2 minutes on each side.) Drain well and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
