Instructions: Remove and discard broccoli leaves and tough ends of stalks; cut broccoli into spears. Arrange broccoli in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Remove from heat; keep warm.
Heat sesame and vegetable oils in a small saucepan until hot but not smoking; remove from heat. Add crushed red pepper, and let stand 10 minutes. Add garlic and next 4 ingredients, stirring to dissolve sugar. Toss broccoli spears gently with oil mixture just before serving. Serve hot or cold. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
