Instructions: Season chicken and place in crockpot. Add onion and garlic cloves and salt and pepper. Fill crockpot 1/4-way with water, cover and cook on high 6 to 8 hours. The chicken should fall off of the bone.
During the last hour of cooking the chicken, place cabbage in a large pot or pan with a shallow amount of water - 1/2 to 1 cup. Add two tablespoons of butter or margarine and sprinkle liberally with garlic salt and pepper. Cover and cook on medium-high heat for 20 to 30 minutes. Once chicken and cabbage are done, place some cabbage in a bowl and top with chicken and some of the chicken broth. Talk about yummy. You can alter any of the seasonings and the butter or margarine to your satisfaction. Email this Recipe:
