Instructions: Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, mixing well. Add vanilla. Mix in flour, sifted with salt and baking powder; knead toward the last, if necessary.
Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll out a little over 1/4" thick. Bake at 375 degrees until lightly browned. Try dusting the board with a combination of flour and sugar - prevents sticking and working in additional flour, which hardens and toughens cookies. Makes about 3 dozen. Email this Recipe:
