1 cup butter
3 cup flour
Jelly
3 tbl powdered sugar
Instructions:
Instructions: Cream butter with the powdered sugar. Gradually add flour. Add vanilla and roll into balls. Place the balls on a cookie sheet and use your thumb to dent the top. Place a dab of jelly in the center thumbprint. Top with a nut. Bake at 325 degrees for about 15 minutes, until bottom and edges are browned.

Makes about 3 dozen.
