Instructions: Cook Brussels sprouts as directed on the package, drain and set aside. Fry bacon crisp, remove from skillet, drain and crumble. Add sugar, salt, vinegar and 1/4 cup water to bacon drippings in skillet. Dissolve cornstarch in remaining 1/4 cup water. Stir into skillet mixture. Cook until thick and clear, stirring often. Add sprouts and pimento, heat thoroughly. Place in serving bowl, sprinkle crumbled bacon over top and serve.
Serves 4 to 6. Linda Says: Like most children, mine wouldnt even touch Brussels sprouts until I discovered this recipe. Now they can even get their children to try them. Email this Recipe:
