Instructions: Cream shortening with sugar. Add eggs and ground chocolate, blending until creamy. Sift flour, soda, and salt. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Pour into 2 nine-inch prepared cake pans. Bake in 350F over for 30 minutes or until done. Caution: cake must be baked immediately for best results.
