Instructions: Get a pint of vodka, decant it into a wide-mouth glass container, put a bunch of the candied ginger in it (to taste) and - voila! you have a delightful ginger liqueur sort of concoction. It makes a great oriental glaze ingredient, and is yummy to sip on a cold winters evening.
I just stir it around (makes it cloudy, but still tasty!) If you want to "gift" it, you need to let it steep for, oh, a week or so, then strain it, pour it into a fancy bottle, drop in a couple of pieces of fresh candied ginger and hand it over.
