Instructions: Heat the butter and sugar in a frying pan. Add the onions a splash of water and the thyme.
Loosely cover the onions with a butter paper or some foil allowing steam to escape. Cook until all the liquid has evaporated the onions are tender and the butter and sugar has caramelised. Gently roll the onions in the glaze season and serve. Makes 4 portions Email this Recipe:
