Instructions: Bake the pie shell and prepare the Strawberry Filling; cool both.
Slice the whole berries in half and place in the bottom of the pie shell, cut side down. Reserve a few berries to decorate the top, if you wish. Spoon the filling over the berries and smooth the top nicely. Chill. If using the optional Whipped Topping, spread it over the top of the pie at serving time, but leave clear a large circle in the center. The contrast between the bright red filling and white topping is most attractive. Decorate with the reserved whole berries, if desired, by placing them in the center. Email this Recipe:
