Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F.
Place fish in Pyrex dish and pour milk over fish. Salt and pepper and bake for 15 minutes. Strain the milk from the fish and save for sauce. Put the flaked fish back into Pyrex dish. In a medium saucepan, melt butter (2 oz) and add flour then mix. Let mixture bubble gently for approximately 2 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and add milk stock, parsley, salt and pepper to taste. Bring back to a boil, stirring continually until sauce thickens then pour over fish. Boil potatoes in salted water for about 20 minutes. Drain potatoes and mash with sour cream, butter (2 oz) and pepper. Cover the fish with mashed potatoes and smooth over with a fork. Sprinkle cheese over top and bake for 20-25 minutes or until top starts to brown. Serve with fresh garden peas. Email this Recipe:
