Instructions: Slice very thin sufficient apples for pie shell and mix in 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Place apple mixture in shell and pour over this, a custard made of 1 egg, slightly beaten with a fork and 1/2 cup whipping cream. Dot with butter and bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees, then at 325 degrees for 25 minutes or until apples are tender.
