Instructions: Boil first four ingreds. until it balls in cold water (soft ball stage). Add large pat butter, drop in vanilla & pinch salt. Beat until spoon makes a track in it. Pour in buttered pan and let it harden.
REMARKS: Simple fudge wisdom... Dag Nabit Jed! The Fudge didnt set! Git me some more othat refined sugar! Honestly, this is an simple recipe but you might have to boil for some time. The ratio of sugar to liquid is 2 to 1, I might increase the amount of sugar to 2-3/4 cup or even 3 cups. Alternatively, you could use the "glue of fudge" and add 1/3 cup corn syrup.
