Add the mushrooms and onions and saute until the mushrooms are dark and the onion is golden, about 6-7 minutes. Prepare an outside grill with an oiled rack set 6 inches above the heat source. On a gas grill, set the heat to medium. Combine the mushrooms and onions with the remaining ingredients. Form the mixture into 6 patties. Grill the burgers, turning once, for a total of 6-7 minutes until the outside is golden brown. This recipe serves 6 people.
