Ingredients:

1 x egg, beaten (or Egg Beaters)
1/4 cup skim milk
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup snipped parsley
3 tbl finely chopped onion
4 tsp toasted sesame seeds
1 clv garlic, crushed
1/4 tsp crushed mint (more if fresh mint is used)
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 lb lean ground beef
2 lrg pita bread, halved
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
1 med tomato, finely chopped
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine egg and milk. Stir in crumbs, parsley, onion, 3 teaspoons sesame seeds, garlic, mint and salt. Add ground beef and mix well. Shape into 1" meatballs. Spray a large skillet with non-stick spray shortening. Brown meatballs. Cover and cook over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes or until done. (Can also be baked on a rack in the oven.) With a slotted spoon, remove meatballs from pan and drain on paper towels. Place meatballs in pita pockets and top with lettuce, tomatoes and yogurt. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds. Can be served hot or cold.

NOTE: This is a heart healthy dish that is low in fat and cholesterol. 4 servings.
