Instructions: Most commercial blends of this seasoning have alot of citric acid in them...that was my dilemma when I wanted to make my own. Where the heck does on buy powdered citric acid???? Well, I solved the problem by using (of all things!) lemon flavoured Kool-aid!!!! You know, the little packages that you have to add sugar to when you mix up the Kool-aid? Works like a charm for anything you want to give a lemony flavour to without addingEthe moisture of lemon juice! So when you see it on the ingredients list, dont think Im nuts!
Combine all ingredients This is the basic recipe, if you are using it on chicken, you can substitute half of the salt for an equal amount of chicken bouillon powder for added flavour. You can use beef bouillon powder too for use on vegetables or pork. To use it as a marinade, add 4 Tbsp. of the seasoning to 1/4 c. olive oil and 1/4 c. dry white wine. Email this Recipe:
