1/2 lb	stew beef in 1/2" cubes
1 can	tomato paste - (6 oz)
1 tbl	brown sugar
1 tbl	red wine vinegar (or cider)
1/2 cup	red wine (or use apple juice)
1/2 tsp	cumin
4 sm	garlic cloves
1 tsp	salt
1 tsp	freshly-ground black pepper
1/2 tsp	cinnamon or more to taste
1 x	bay leaf
2 tbl	raisins
	(other dried fruit could be substituted)

Instructions:

Instructions: Mix all ingredients in the crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW 7 to 9 hours.
