Instructions: Wash beans and remove ends. Bring one cup water to a boil in a large saucepan; add beans. Cover, reduce heat, and cook 8 minutes or until tender.
Drain and keep warm. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat; add onion and garlic, and cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook until tender, stirring often. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper; cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Gradually add beef broth and whipping cream; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Add sherry; cook 2 minutes.
