Instructions: 1. In a small saute pan, combine chana dal, dhana dal, cayenne, cumin, cloves and cinnamon. Place over medium heat, and saute, stirring constantly, until spices are golden brown and very aromatic, about 3 minutes. Stir in salt along with 1 tablespoon ghee. Remove from heat.
2. Heat remaining ghee in large saute pan over medium heat. Add beans, coconut puree and spice mixture. Saute, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes, or until beans are tender and sauce has thickened. Serve hot. Yield: 6 servings.
