Instructions: Pick over lentils and soak in water for 2 hours. Drain and add 7 cups water and garlic. Or add dry lentils directly to 7 cups water and garlic.
Bring, to boil. Turn to low heat; add tomato sauce, salt and olive oil. Simmer gently 60 minutes or until lentils are tender. Add water if it becomes too thick. Enjoy with a bowl of large green olives and coarse bread. Email this Recipe:
