Instructions: Prepare a barbecue fire, setting the rack about 5 inches above.
Pat the chicken dry, then rub the inside and outside with the lemons cut side. Sprinkle inside and out with salt and pepper. Stuff the herb sprigs inside the cavity, then rub the outside of the chicken with oil. Place the chicken on a vertical roaster and BBQ until the thickest part of the breast is 170 degrees, about 1 hour. Transfer to a platter and serve. This recipe yields 4 servings. Email this Recipe:
