red onions, peeled and halved
1/2 cup olive oil
Instructions:
Instructions: Drizzle oil into vinegar very slowly, whisking until it is mixed well. Marinate onions in mixture for 3 hours. Grill the onions until browned, about 10 minutes per side, brushing frequently with marinade.

(Last time I made these, I used Vidalia sweet onions. I cut them in 1/2" slices and stuck a bamboo skewer through each to hold the rings together. Then I put them in a grill basket to make them easier to turn. They came out great-this is going to be my method from now on!)
