1 tsp ground bay leaves
1 tsp clove
1 tsp mace
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp savory
1 prt dried mustard

Instructions: Julia Childs Spice Blend - posted near the end of last year - is heady. not too strong. A pinch goes a long way on chicken. Use more for vegetable stews.

We tried 1 part of the blend mixed with 1 part dried mustard for a loin chop - trimmed. 15 min rest time. Cooked for 3 minutes on a preheated foreman grill. 3 mins assumes that the pork is still cold.

Served with baked yellow-flesh sweet potato, green beans and apple sauce. How traditional! and very good rub for raw pork.

advice: remove the bone. We experimented and left the bone in this time. The bone is thicker than the meat and prevents even browning.
