Ingredients:

1 cup white hominy grits or white
hominy quick grits
4 tbl butter or margarine
2 x crisp bacon slices, crumbled (Optional)
Instructions:
Instructions: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare grits according to package directions.

Stir in 2 tablespoons butter and the bacon. Pour grits mixture into ungreased 11 x 7 inch baking dish. Make 6 depressions with back of spoon about 2 inches apart in grits mixture. Carefully break 1 egg into each depression. Melt remaining butter. Pour over eggs. Sprinkle with pepper, if desired. Bake uncovered 15-20 minutes or until eggs are desired doneness. Serve hot.

Yield 6 servings.
