Instructions: Trim and peel butt ends of asparagus. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil; add asparagus. Cook 3 minutes; drain. Cut into 2-inch pieces.
Preheat broiler. Combine onions, mustard, and mayonnaise; spread mustard mixture evenly over cut sides of muffins. Arrange ham evenly on each muffin half; top with asparagus pieces.
