Instructions: Toss the potato slices in the cream of tartar and water. Drain. Put half the ham, potatoes and onion in the slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with half of the grated cheese. Add remaining potatoes, ham and onions. Sprinkle salt and pepper over top. Top with the remaining grated cheese. Sprinkle with paprika. cover, cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
